The aim of the Edinburgh Senegalese Society
We are a non-profit making social organization funded by donations from members. We receive no funds from the government or from any companies, and so represent our members.
The Association is run by volunteers during their spare time.

Our aim is to promote and share Senegalese culture, help integrate it with Scottish culture and engage in social and diverses activities.

TERANGA which means “Hospitality” in Wolof is the cornerstone of Senegalese tradition; whereby every person is welcome and treated with utmost respect whatever their background. We aim to carry this tradition beyond Senegal.
We strive to work hard in making the ESSAIDE’s blog highly informative. Visit the Blog for the latest news updates on upcoming events.
